Dear Editor: The destruction of 369 homes, schools and churches, and 69 businesses. No, not the fires in San Diego, which were caused by nature, but a planned demolition of a charming community of families for a freeway to further pollute our air. Aside from the monetary costs, which are now astronomical, the uprooting of a village. When ADOT (Arizona Department of Transportation) first contemplated its plan, this community was just being formed. Please stop and consider the consequences before it's too late. Margaret Askew
