I agree with Mr Skoda's viewpoint that it would be insane to drop wrestling from the Olympic sport roster. I take issue, however, with Mr. Skoda's questioning the value of equestrian as an Olympic sport. Indeed, Equestrian events were among the original Olympic roster, giving the sport the same "right" to be there as wrestling. Although modern-day equestrian has only been a part of the Olympics for about 100 years, I would challenge you to find a sport as physically or mentally demanding as that involving mastery over a 1,000-pound plus animal with a mind of its own; combining pure athleticism with intense courage in both horse and rider. Contrast jumping 5' fences and riding four hours over a cross country course with 120-pound men in singlets writhing on a mat? Hmmm. But I wouldn't do that, I think wrestling is a great sport So please don't demean my sport.

I take from your comment, afnanalog, that you're a "joe" supporter - your comment made no sense, was full of sarcasm and hate, with no real point. Yet you, and others like you, are the ones who keep Joe in office.
Thanks, Mr. Beydler, for a well-written article. Unfortunately, it seems you're preaching to the choir - those of us who are horrified by what has gone on under Arpaio's administration. It seems the "other side" is too wrapped up in hate and anger to even consider a change.

Sad but true...Tootie was the original aggressor, and was off the leash. The other dog reacted in a normal dog way - unfortunately, his leash broke. The other owner is not responsible for Tootie's death. It could have been easily prevented by the Andersons keeping Tootie on her leash until she got into the house. I feel very, very badly for the Andersons, what a horrible situation to witness - but blaming the other dog and owner is not the way to go.11 months ago
