I am at the end of my rope concerning the parking situation in Ahwatukee off of Equestrian Trail and Kachina Drive. We moved to this area 14 years ago and while we saw signs that said NO PARKING along much of the street, noticed that no one paid any attention to them. In the years that we have lived here we have had many guests and workers park on the street with no problem. A little over a year ago random tickets began being issued. I contacted our City Councilman Sal Diciccio regarding this and he quickly had several people contact me to try and help. Unfortunately nothing was offered by way of a solution. A compliance officer called me and offered to have the signs taken down...JUST IN FRONT OF MY HOME..which is just an invitation to have everyone park in front of my house only! BUT I also own a lot next door to my house and it was suggested that I have my guests park there...which I had already been doing. The police routinely use my lot to park on when they take the officers out mountain bike riding. Today, my housekeeper received a $288 ticket for parking on the lot! I am beyond furious! Any one else having a problem with this parking situation? 10 months ago
