Great article. I totally agree. I like to add some more to it from my observation as an immigrant from Europe. The sad part is that here in the US people want the 'Do-it-for-me" treatment at no cost; are not interested for the most part about their own health, only interested in what tastes good; people continue to feed their mind (which is where health of the body starts!) with negative misery by watching endless TV, listening to endless radio talk-shows, reading oodles of magazines and discussing the latest topics on the Internet, most of which all are totally misleading and downright twisted truth into wrongs - yet because it is 'published', people believe it.
It is time to take a close look at one-self, look inside and take responsibility for one's own life and start cleaning up the mess instead of filling the pockets of the pharmaceutical companies, and allopathic medical providers, the latter who love to shove another pill down your throat so that they get another financial incentive because they made the sales quota.
Interesting how much is spent on holistic care - which is mostly NOT covered by insurance in the US, in Europe most is covered - the US has a lot to learn regarding healthcare, however it starts with education, education from birth about how to care for one's own body - basically that is very simple, yet you have to want to take responsibility for doing that instead of letting someone else do that - oh, I forgot - there is a pay-off - as long as you trust someone else to take care of your health you can continue to blame that person if it does not work!
