If you’re a dog lover and owner, you know the place.
One that has served Ahwatukee for more than a decade, Bone Appétit Bakery and Boutique, it has wooed local pups, felines, and their owners with in-house crafted treats and healthy food.
Not to mention a plethora of health products, knick knacks and accessories.
But this summer, the beloved store has seen a bit of a downfall in sales, leaving its owners, Joe and Helen Goldblatt, with some concern.
“Summer is always slow, but (this year) I can’t figure it out,” said Joe, who mentioned that last month had really slowed down.
Despite the store’s rough patch, Joe’s focus is on two things: getting rid of a lot of inventory and moving in holiday-themed merchandise for the upcoming season.
For us fans of Bone Appétit, that means “dirt cheap” pricing on most of the store’s goodies.
Isn’t that enough of an incentive to help out our fellow pet lovers in their time of need?
Joe mentioned the summer deals will include special pricing on natural foods, 50 to 75 percent off some merchandise, Christmas in July sales, and even grab bags.
The Goldblatts have a true passion for pets and a deep-hearted love of their community, which has kept their humble store running since 1999.
Joe mixes and bakes the store’s own specialty pup cakes and treats. The store’s willingness to please customers with special orders and quality service has made it a favorite among the community.
The doors of Bone Appétit aren’t ready to be closed just yet, and with the drive and incentive from its owners, it doesn’t look like their going out without a fight.
Visit Bone Appétit for summer sales and deals at 4810 E Ray Road, Suite 5, or give the owners a call at (480) 785-9499.
