Michael Goodman with Phoenix Mountains Preservation Council raised concerns that ADOT would move forward with building the extension to Loop 202 over Pecos Road even if serious discussion still took place regarding whether or not to build it.

Tim Tait, of Arizona Department of Transportation, spoke about the possible move south of the South Mountain Freeway onto land owned by the Gilla River Indian community. Tait acknowledged that more discussion and research was needed to access a build or no-build vote by the committee, but the project would continue to move forward.
