Junior Mannyy Aguirre said Monday that part of the inspiration for the art he will present in Thursday's art show has to do with how a close friend described Aguirre. The MPHS art student took those feelings and put them on his art piece, \"Self Reflection.\" Aguirre said he would like to pursue ceramics in college.

Karen Kierstead's art piece doesn't have a name yet, but the junior said she enjoyed making the bowl using the art technique known as raku.
Jessica Molina, a senior at Mountain Pointe High School, puts finishing touches on a glass piece that she created with patina paint. The art student will be showing it at Thursday's art show at MPHS.
