    After a year of being “too busy” to work out, I knew that my saggy, squishy body wasn’t going to improve on its own. The machines at the gym are so mundane, so I knew that wasn’t going to keep me coming. Yoga is supposed to be really good — and my church offers free classes, but that seemed too slow, quiet and painful. So I went to a Zumba class available at my Gold’s Gym.

    Temptation. That’s what I face this time of year, when the novelty of summer wears thin. Spending time in the pool is great, but the days are long, and “he’s taking my stuff!” is a common phrase heard around my house. It’s during those moments I’m tempted to spend money I shouldn’t. But then, I need to retain my wits during the summer. Otherwise, I risk falling at their feet in relief when I greet my kids’ teachers come August.
