Archer is a very energetic, active, 9-year-old Beagle. He is a little taller than the average Beagle, and has very long ears and very soft fur. His owner recently died and he was returned to Arizona Beagle Rescue. Archer is housebroken and knows basic commands. He would do best with older kids and submissive/mellow dogs. He needs a little work on leash manners, as he does pull and bark at other dogs on walks. He loves to play with toys and runs around the yard chasing birds.
Boo is a 7-year-old male Beagle who was rescued from the shelter by Arizona Beagle Rescue (AZBR). He was extremely overweight and had lots of sores on his skin and paws. Boo has become one of AZBR’s “Biggest Loser’s” and has dropped 20 pounds. He loves to go on walks, which should help get the last few stubborn pounds off quickly. Boo would do best on a low-calorie, grain-free dog food due to his skin allergies. He gets along well with other dogs, but would do best with older kids. Boo is housebroken and knows how to use a dog door. He would make an excellent family pet.
Arizona State University head coach Todd Graham presented Culinary Specialist 3rd Class Andrew Anderson a team jersey and named him an honorary team captain aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The ship hosted the Navy and Marine Corps Holiday Bowl Luncheon for players from the Sun Devils of Arizona State University and the Red Raiders of Texas Tech University. Wanda is a 4-year-old beautiful Lemon Beagle that was a shelter dog rescued by Arizona Beagle Rescue. She was a bit chubby but has lost a few pounds and is now pretty close to her target weight. Wanda is housebroken, gets along with other dogs, rides great in a car, walks great on a leash and can use the doggie door. She loves to follow her foster mom around the house and snooze wherever she happens to be. If she likes you, she will give you her paw and loves to give kisses. Wanda is timid around men so it will take her some time to warm up and be comfortable. She would be a faithful companion for any family.
Caramel is a sweet 11-year-old Beagle girl whose owner moved away and left her behind. She is so easygoing and very obedient. She likes to just hang out, take naps and sniff around the yard. Caramel gets along well with other dogs and children. Since she is a bit overweight she would benefit from more exercise and less food. Dieting is hard and Caramel is hungry so if there is more than one dog in the home it would be best to feed her separately.

Seven years ago, director Paul Greengrass gave us “United 93.” Greengrass’ vision was bold and pulled no punches, easily making it the best post-9/11 film to date. Everything Greengrass brought to the table in “United 93” is displayed in “Captain Phillips.” This is another intensely shot, authentically edited true story about ordinary people forced to step up during a catastrophe. Is it the masterpiece that “United 93” was? Not quite, but that’s a really tough act to beat.
Buddy D’Elf is an 11-year-old Beagle, who acts and plays like he’s 7. He came down from a land northeast of Phoenix to look for his new forever home. He can go from being a very active Beagle to being a couch potato who likes to snuggle. He loves to go for walks, but has to take his time so he can check out the great smells out in the world. He likes to ride like a person in the backseat of the car and occasionally likes to get up and take a look out the window. He gets along great with other dogs, too.
Boulder City, Nev. -- It’s easy to trade the wild ways of Las Vegas for the wilds of the nearby Colorado River: All it takes is a call to a boating outfitter and a federally-approved form of ID.
This April 13, 2013 photo shows the Colorado River snaking through the Black Canyon near Boulder City, Nev. Watercraft must be transported through a federal security zone near the Hoover Dam by an authorized livery service, whether you bring your own gear, rent watercraft or sign up for a guided trip. But some of the guide companies will pick you up at your hotel on the Las Vegas Strip some 30 miles away first thing in the morning and have you in the water before lunch.
Perkins is an 8-year-old Beagle who was lost and taken in by the Arizona Beagle Rescue last summer. He is much taller than a typical Beagle and will play ball with you, but prefers tug-of-war. He likes walks as well, but pulls quite a bit because he gets so excited to go out, but he settles down after walking a bit. Car rides are one of Perkins’ favorite things.
Kallie is 11 years young! She would love to live in a house where she can sit on her human’s lap or next to them while watching TV. She gets along well with other dogs and children.

Tucker Brown is a neutered 4-year-old Beagle mix who weighs about 50 pounds. He has the sweetest personality and gets along great with other dogs. He loves people, but has not been around kids or cats yet, so he would need an introduction. Tucker Brown loves to snuggle on the couch and is relatively low maintenance. He follows basic commands and his favorite toy is a Nylabone. He is house/doggie-door trained and sleeps through the night with no issues. Essentially, he is a mellow guy who is happy all the time and would love to have a family to call his own.
Spook, who will be celebrating his 10th birthday later this month, was appropriately named when he was found wandering the streets of Mesa just before Halloween last year. Don’t let his name fool you though, he’s not spooky at all, and has been patiently waiting to meet his forever family. He would love to join you in your Halloween activities (he’s even all ready to go as Underdog).
