Q: My mom has been on a significant decline in physical and mental health for the last year and a half. Our family knows it’s time to look at our options and get her more care. It doesn’t look like we can care for her properly at home. We haven’t brought this up to mom yet. I can’t help but feel worried and guilty. How can we make this easy on her?
Lucky is a 12-year-old Spaniel, American Cocker. This sweet older gal is hoping to be lucky enough to find a great new home. She may be getting up there in years, but still has lots of energy. With age comes knowledge; she knows the commands for sit, down, shake, stay, come, speak and even high-10. So, if you’re looking for a smart, active dog, without the “growing pains” of a puppy, Lucky is the girl for you. She is compatible with all ages of humans, but would like to be the only animal in the home.

Vanna is a beautiful domestic short-haired “Torbie” cat, about 11 years old. Vanna was adopted MANY years ago but found herself homeless again when her adoptive parents turned her in to another shelter. Luckily for Vanna she wasn’t euthanized … her microchip saved her life and Friends for Life picked her up and brought her back to its shelter. Vanna has been waiting over a year and a half to find a new home. A home that will let her live out her golden years. A home that will treat her as part of the family. Vanna enjoys the company of people very much. If any animals do share the home they should be calm. Young kitties have been known to make Vanna grouchy so she’d prefer to share her home with another cat close to her age. Vanna is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FELV/FIV, is spayed and microchipped.
