Join the St. John Bosco Dads’ Club for the Eighth Annual SJB Trivia Night on Jan. 25 at 6 p.m. at the school, 16035 S. 48th St. Teams can be made up of eight people, and space is limited.
The weather outside is finally feeling like Christmas, and St. John Bosco Catholic School (SJBCS) will be putting on their Winter Wonderland for the Ahwatukee community’s enjoyment, just in time for the holidays.

A St. John Bosco Catholic School teacher has been selected Teacher of the Year by the Arizona Council for American Private Education (AZCAPE) and the Arizona private school community. More than 200 private school leaders of distinction were nominated for the second Arizona Private School Education Excellence Awards.
Instead of asking for gifts, St. John Bosco sixth-graders Lauren A. and Shea S. combined their recent 12th birthday parties into a fundraiser for a family in need. The Perres are local residents facing heart wrenching medical issues and staggering medical costs. Within two months of one another, Mrs. Perre was diagnosed with a form of Lou Gehrig’s disease and her 16-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer. Lauren and Shea invited the entire sixth-grade population of St. John Bosco, as well as many other friends, to party at Desert Foothills Park on April 26. In lieu of birthday gifts, Shea, Lauren and their friends dug into their piggy banks and donated money to help the Perres. In the end, Lauren, She and their friends collected approximately $1,700. The Perres were overwhelmed at the compassion and generosity of both the girls and the community.
Principal Shelley Conner said she’ll miss camaraderie the most at St. John Bosco in Ahwatukee.
When Victoria Burton heard about a girl in preschool at St. John Bosco Interparish School in Ahwatukee, she immediately wanted to help.
More than 320 sets of new pajamas were collected this holiday season by St. John Bosco Catholic School students for "Jamma Jingles," an annual pajama drive to benefit children from newborn to 17 years of age.
