It takes a lot for a film based on a video game to impress a crowd these days, given the dazzling advancements in gaming technology. But "Need for Speed," based on the hit EA Entertainment racing game that's sold 150 million units, could now drive some of that success toward the box office.
As a leader in driver safety, AAA recognizes the recent strides our legislators have made in making Arizona roads safer. Fewer children will be killed in motor crashes, thanks to our stronger child passenger law. In addition, stranded motorists, roadside assistance crews, and road maintenance now receive the added protection of our Move Over law. And in 2007, we made modest improvements to our state’s graduated driver license (GDL) law, providing a safer learning environment for young drivers by minimizing passenger distractions and nighttime driving risks.
It takes less than 30 seconds for a dried-out Christmas tree to become fully engulfed in flames and it’s one of the quickest and most difficult fires to put out, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
LOS ANGELES — Digging into deep-pocket gluttony, Martin Scorsese's dark comedy "The Wolf of Wall Street" highlights a world rich in drugs, fast cars and private jets. The American dream is amplified, yet those indulging in it are never satisfied.
Robert Rodriguez's "Machete Kills" is a sequel based on an end-credits joke from a film that was itself based on a joke trailer contained within a half-joke grindhouse homage. Exactly how many degrees such an endeavor is removed from anything resembling serious cinema would require Jean Baudrillard to calculate, yet for more immediate filmgoing purposes, all there is to see here is a surprisingly long-lived gag finally running out of gas. As violent as its predecessor yet noticeably duller and less outrageous, "Machete Kills" is dragged to the finish line entirely by its director's madcap energy and an absurd cast of major stars in strange cameos.

Given its penchant for taking local audiences back into their past on a monthly basis, Cult Classics’ decision to celebrate its second anniversary with a film about time travel and a tie to its East Valley home was both logical and a most excellent thing to do.
You ever hear the saying, “This is about as much fun as watching snails race?” Well “Turbo,” the latest flick from DreamWorks Animation, is literally about a racing snail. It’s also about as fascinating as watching paint dry or watching grass grow. Sitting in the theater, you never feel like you’re observing an animated feature from the edgy, satirical, pop-culture savvy folks at DreamWorks. You feel like you’re watching a cartoon with a thin premise on Nickelodeon. In other words, save your time, save your money, and stream it for the kids when it’s on Netflix in several months.
