Jewel is a gorgeous domestic short-haired black cat estimated to be 1-3 years old. She is an active girl with events scheduled throughout the day such as playing with toys and laser lights, but her main goal is to give her humans as much love as possible. She is a great “companion” kitty. She loves to be pet and will “make biscuits” and help you “work.” Jewel CAN be competitive for attention if you have other cats so it probably is best she be the only love of your life. Jewel is also good with children.
Daniel is a 7-month-old black cat with gorgeous gold eyes. He was recently rescued with his brother, Jack, from a backyard while looking for food. The brothers look identical and are very bonded so the “Jack and Daniel boys” will need to be adopted together. Both are extremely playful and affectionate kittens looking for their forever home. They are great around other cats, kids, and maybe dogs. They love to run around chasing toys, running up cat trees, hanging out in a window to watch birds, and sitting on your lap to enjoy some human companionship.
Bean is Havana brown, with a beautiful rare coat and greenish eyes. She is sweet and lovable, and craves attention and petting. Her hobbies include reading, tai chi, and yoga. When you call her name she likes to answer you. Currently a little chubby because she eats everyone else’s dinner including her own, Bean should be able to stay on her diet when in her new home eating “light” food.
Faith, a 10-year-old Shih Tzu, was rescued painfully thin, horribly matted, had toenails so long they were growing into her pads, had very bad teeth, and to top it off was blind. She was named Faith for a reason — Faith has a remarkable spirit and has not given up on life or people, despite her condition. Since then, Faith has made great strides in foster care, slowly discovering all of the good things life has to offer. Faith enjoys the yard and sun. She has started to check out dog beds and carry chew bones around. And Faith loves snuggle time on the couch, in your lap, in your arms, or sitting next to you on a blanket while watching TV. You know she is happy because she grunts in contentment. Faith is a gentle, kind, happy, little girl who is feeling better as each day goes by.
Starlight is a sweet domestic short-haired brown Tabby, about 6 years old. She is very snuggly and does OK with other cats. It isn’t known whether she’d like to share her life with a dog. She does like a quiet environment so probably no children in the home would be best for her. Starlight is up to date on vaccinations, tested for FELV/FIV, spayed and microchipped. She had a “dental” where she had to have her upper canine teeth removed, but she does well without them. Her adoption fee is $85.
Perkins is a 9-year-old Beagle, who is a little taller than most Beagles. He is very active and enjoys playing ball and tug of war. He loves car rides and long walks. He is doggie door trained, but will also tell you when he needs to go outside. He does need to be fed in a crate or separately from other dogs because he is very serious about meal times. Perkins gets along well with other dogs and loves lots of affection.
Ariel, a 4-year-old purebred yellow Labrador Retriever, would love to be your lifetime hiking and exercise buddy. Bud and Dud are 11-month-old orange and white cats who are known to be two peas in a pod. These brothers were facing possible euthanasia because they had ringworm as young kittens. Fortunately, Lost Our Home Pet Foundation was able to rescue and medically treat them — now they are looking for their forever home. Both cats are extremely friendly to humans and cats, love to play with toys while chasing each other up and down a cat tree, and like to sit on your lap. Can you give them a chance at a new life?
Ava, a 2-year-old Balinese, is truly a beautiful cat with her lovely coloring, soft, luxurious fur, and big, blue eyes. There is more to this girl than good looks, though. Ava is a sweet, friendly, affectionate girl with the softest meow you have ever heard. We believe she uses her enchanting meow to make you forget what you are doing and entice you into spending time with her. Before you know it, you are sitting down and your previously empty lap is now filled with a furry, purry, bundle of love. The continual purring that emanates from Ava causes you to further lose track of time and before you know it, you’ve been alternating between petting and brushing Ava’s beautiful fur coat for who knows how long.
Scooby, a 5-year-old Chinese Shar-Pei/Mix, already knows the “sit” and “down” commands and would love to learn more, especially if there are treats involved. Scooby is a pretty big guy right now so lots of daily exercise would be good so that he can be ready for any adventure that comes along. He loves everyone he meets, but some dogs can overwhelm him so please bring any dogs in the home down to meet Scooby. He is neutered and is adoption price is $175.
Bug is a mix of perhaps Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua. She is estimated to be about 2 years old. She was found as a stray by volunteers of the shelter, who were out and about on a recreational event. Bug was so tiny sitting on the side of the road and, thankfully, let our volunteers rescue her. It was discovered that she had a stone in her stomach and after it didn’t pass, surgery had to be done. The stone ended up being a sharp piece of quartz, about the size of a quarter. Bug has recovered nicely from the surgery and would love to start her new life in a forever, loving home. Bug has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date on all vaccinations.
Sabrina, a 4-year-old sweet and gentle cat, is looking for her forever home. She has been living with a foster family for over a year. She can be shy at first, preferring to check out anything new from a distance, but warms up quickly to humans and other cats. Her foster family reports that she is very playful and loves to chase toys and objects around the house. She has never been introduced to dogs and would require a slow transition to a house with dogs.
Handsome Louie is a super affectionate and talkative red and white cat. He’s tall with long, white legs. He enjoys napping in a cat tree all day and watching TV or playing poker at night. Louie is fine with friendly, mellow cats and would also be great as king of the castle and your only cat.
Violet is a 1-year-old Cairn Terrier who loves everyone she meets. As a matter of fact, to get someone’s attention, she has the very cute habit of standing up and waving her front legs at them. She uses this tactic when asking for treats as well. Violet loves being with her people, especially if it involves sitting in your lap or being held in your arms. Scratch Violet behind her ears and watch her eyes close in pure ecstasy. In response to your affections, Violet snuggles even closer and offers happy doggie kisses. In addition to snuggling, other activities popular with Violet include playing with toys, other dogs, and playful kitties; going on walks; riding in cars; shopping in local pet supply stores; and hanging out with us humans at the local café.
Archer is a very energetic, active, 9-year-old Beagle. He is a little taller than the average Beagle, and has very long ears and very soft fur. His owner recently died and he was returned to Arizona Beagle Rescue. Archer is housebroken and knows basic commands. He would do best with older kids and submissive/mellow dogs. He needs a little work on leash manners, as he does pull and bark at other dogs on walks. He loves to play with toys and runs around the yard chasing birds.

Oh, and if she barks when she’s in the kennel it is only because she is excited to see you.

She enjoys sleeping in a cubby within a cat tree and will always come out to greet other cats and people. She is very loving and needs that special person to give the patience and attention she desperately needs. Can you give Kora a chance at a new life?
Charlie is a beautiful, affectionate, energetic 2-year-old kitty.
