She is good with other cats and maybe dogs.

Nella is a 5-month-old black kitten with a shy but very loving and playful demeanor. Ollie is a beautiful boy, estimated to be about 4 years old. He’s got sparkling gold eyes and jet black fur. He is good with other cats, but isn’t too thrilled about dogs. Ollie is very a friendly and social guy. He enjoys being the center of attention and most of the time you can find him purring away. He enjoys playing with toys, but just as much enjoys snuggling up with his people. Ollie did have to undergo a dental due to a common tooth issue found in cats called “tooth resorption disease.” All but his front incisors and bottom canines had to be removed. He feels great now and more than ready to find his forever home.
This beautiful, long-haired 5-year-old tuxedo cat is a loving, vocal, loyal sweetheart. His family lost their home to foreclosure and moved on, but no one thought to let him know, so he stayed in the front yard trying to get into the house whenever a real estate agent showed it. Unfortunately, he was waiting for his family to return. More than six weeks later he was rescued and has turned out to be extremely friendly, playful and loving to other cats and humans, and maybe dogs. One of his favorite activities is to sit on your lap to be brushed, which is definitely a priority due to his beautiful long fur. He also enjoys lounging on a cat tree or just sitting in a windowsill to watch birds. Lost our Home promised LB that we would find him a great forever home and that he would never be left behind again. Can you give LB a second chance at a new life?

Starlight is a sweet domestic short-haired brown Tabby, about 6 years old. She is very snuggly and does OK with other cats. It isn’t known whether she’d like to share her life with a dog. She had a “dental” where she had to have her upper canine teeth removed, but she does well without them. Her adoption fee is $85.

Make a Chihuahua your best buddy and save $50 at the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA (AAWL & SPCA). The Best Buddy program provides extra help for any questions or medical or behavior issues the animal may have, during the first 30 days after adoption. Adopters also have lifetime support from the organization with low-cost veterinary services, classes and more. As part of the adoption guarantee, each adopter will receive free pet health insurance for 30 days, a free medical helpline that is monitored 24 hours/seven days per week and a free behavior helpline for the first 30 days after the adoption. If a medical issue is identified, AAWL has a low-cost clinic that works with the adopter and the pet to solve the problem. If it is a behavior issue, the behavior experts at AAWL give advice, or they may recommend one of the many training classes offered by the organization.
Bug is a mix of perhaps Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua. She is estimated to be about 2 years old. She was found as a stray by volunteers of the shelter, who were out and about on a recreational event. Bug was so tiny sitting on the side of the road and, thankfully, let our volunteers rescue her. It was discovered that she had a stone in her stomach and after it didn’t pass, surgery had to be done. The stone ended up being a sharp piece of quartz, about the size of a quarter. Bug has recovered nicely from the surgery and would love to start her new life in a forever, loving home. Bug has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date on all vaccinations.
Archer is a very energetic, active, 9-year-old Beagle. He is a little taller than the average Beagle, and has very long ears and very soft fur. His owner recently died and he was returned to Arizona Beagle Rescue. Archer is housebroken and knows basic commands. He would do best with older kids and submissive/mellow dogs. He needs a little work on leash manners, as he does pull and bark at other dogs on walks. He loves to play with toys and runs around the yard chasing birds.
LaFawnda is a short-haired Siamese cat mix, senior female. She is a bit shy at first, but given the time to get acquainted she may be the love of your life. Kora was found in an abandoned house with several other cats. She is a somewhat shy, but quickly warms up after she gets to know you. She is an extremely sweet and calm cat who basically gets along with everyone. She recently lost her “sister” to an illness and could really use some extra love and support. She enjoys sleeping in a cubby within a cat tree and will always come out to greet other cats and people. She is very loving and needs that special person to give the patience and attention she desperately needs. Can you give Kora a chance at a new life?
