Ahwatukee Foothills will be represented at the Boston Marathon by several area runners who got involved for various reasons.

This Saturday, John Rice will get up with the sunrise, put on his pair of athletic shoes and step outside to start running. When he finishes he will have gone 20 miles, the longest single distance he has ever run.

A Pilates class is being offered that focuses on improving body alignment and movement efficiency to optimize running performance and avoid injury. The class will also focus on core stability and strength, flexibility and proper breathing technique. Class is appropriate for beginner as well as advanced runners and for those rehabbing injuries.
