On July 31, signs went up banning bicycles from access to the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort. This is a 1.7-mile two-lane road that winds along a beautiful artificial stream on its way to the resort entrance. This road is very popular among local cyclists, who travel it mostly in the early morning hours. The signs were erected at the request of the Wild Horse Ranch Development Authority. This is a private road and not subject to the bicycle access requirements of public roads.
When Chloe Hodson graduated last year from Northern Arizona University with a degree in English and secondary education, she knew she wanted to travel and teach internationally. What she didn’t know was 14 days after a Skype interview with Glenelg School, she would be on a plane to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The 32 members of the Phoenix Boys Choir Tour Choir departed on a 19-day tour through England and France earlier this month. The international tour took the boys through Ely, Bath, Cambridge, London, Guildford, Hastings, Croydon, Canterbury, Salisbury in England and Paris, Chartres, Versailles, Normandy, Epernay and Beauvais in France. The Tour Choir, the top choir of the Phoenix Boys Choir, travels on a three-week tour each summer alternating domestic or international. Tours introduce the boys to new cultures, builds cultural awareness, and enhance self-responsibility.
