On Saturday, March 5, a community shred-a-thon will be offered from 8-11 a.m. at the Lynn Hennessy State Farm Insurance office, 3233 E. Chandler Blvd. Each person can bring up to five boxes of documents to be destroyed by Assured Security Document Destruction. A representative from the Arizona Attorney General's Office will be on site with tips on avoiding identity theft. The State Farm Good NeighBear will be here for photos with your children. There will be free doughnuts and coffee. For every person who attends and "checks in" on Facebook Places, $1 will be donated to "Lost Our Home Pet Foundation," which rescues pets left behind due to financial hardship.
