For the second year the Ahwatukee Foothills community is being encouraged to shop local for a day on Saturday, Aug. 17.
Entrepreneurship fuels Ahwatukee’s economic innovation and prosperity. But did you know that when you shop at locally owned businesses, your money is recirculated over and over? With every $100 that is spent at a local retailer, $68 will return to the community through taxes and payroll. These dollars create wealth and additional sales tax revenue to pay for things like parks, libraries, and city services.

From school supplies to new clothes, back-to-school shopping can be an overwhelming task. Luckily, Ahwatukee is full of fabulous stores for shoppers of every age and every need.
The Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce thanks the many volunteers who assisted us in putting together this year’s Red, White and Boom Fireworks Celebration. These volunteers give up their family time for the good of the community, and we are grateful for their help.
