Morgan Nelson of Ahwatukee has earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Nelson was among approximately 2,700 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech’s 247th commencement exercises.
The Georgia Institute of Technology has named Nicholas Selby of Ahwatukee Foothills one of 75 President’s Scholars. A mechanical engineering major, Selby represents the top 1 percent of early applicants to Georgia Tech.

Local golf instructor Jeff Ritter is offering a trip to Augusta. The winner receives airfare and lodging for the week of the The Masters in April. There will be half-day golf school with Ritter at Augusta Country Club. There will also be a sponsor gift from Swing Tip that will be reveled upon the winner’s selection.
Christopher Meeker, a 2004 graduate of Desert Vista High Scool
and son of Brian and Tamera Bidelspach of Ahwatukee, has graduated
from Basic Training at Fort Benning, Georgia on April 29, 2011.
Christopher was part of the Delta Company, 2nd Platoon, 2-19
Infantry Division. After graduation, Christopher has advanced into
the Army Ranger Assessment and Selection Program, which is an
extremely physical and mentally challenging eight week course held
at Fort Benning, Georgia. The RASP program is designed to prepare
soldiers, for assignment to the 75th Ranger Regiment.
