Janet Liffiton passed away peacefully on May 18. She resided in Ahwatukee and is survived by her daughter, Nancy Breon, and husband, Mike, of Kailua, Hawaii; son, David Bartram, and wife, Tamie, of Poway, Calif.; niece, Kim Rolfe, and husband, Rick, also of Ahwatukee, as well as several nieces and nephews scattered across the East Coast.
Gayle Dorothy Hadden (nee Buff), 67, of Ahwatukee and formerly of Wayne, N.J., passed away peacefully at home on May 27, surrounded by her family. Gayle worked for J.P. Morgan Chase for many years. She grew up in Lyndhurst, N.J., and had lived in Wayne since 1968 before moving to Phoenix 20 years ago. Gayle was a 4-H leader, a Remax Realtor, a member of the Pompton Falls Fire Co. 3 Women’s Auxiliary in Wayne, a nursery school assistant, and a member of the Junior Women’s Club and PTA. Gayle’s interests included sewing, knitting, golf, cruising in her convertible, great music, laughing much and having a great time. She loved traveling and loved life. Gayle is survived by her husband, John J., of Ahwatukee; her children, Kimberly Hadden Massie, Robin Hadden, Christopher Hadden, all of Arizona, John Hadden of Hardwick, N.J.; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Harold and Alan Buff. Friends may visit with the family at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne, N.J., on Sunday, June 2 from 2 to 6 p.m.

Charles William Roloff, 97, of Phoenix passed away on March 6. He was born May 10, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Renee B. Roloff, on Nov. 17, 2004.

James Hasse, 67, of Ahwatukee peacefully passed away on Jan. 4 after a courageous battle with cancer. His fortitude and strength will forever be an inspiration to his family and friends.

Master Sgt. William Bridges Stevens, born Nov. 19, 1944 in Indianapolis, Ind. The oldest son of Col. William F. Stevens and Adna Bridges Stevens, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for more than 20 years including assignments from Oklahoma to Iceland.
Joe Toni Gerhardus Eberson, a 30-year resident of Ahwatukee Foothills, flew west on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 5:15 p.m. to join his heavenly father. Joe was born on Nov. 26, 1931 in Bilthoven, Holland, to Joseph M.A. Eberson and Catharine J.E. Eberson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Florence N. Laurens-Eberson. They shared 29 years of happy marriage together. Joe has five children from his first marriage; Joe M.T. (Sue) Eberson, Marianne M.E. (Ron) Riales, Sven J. (Sandra) Eberson, Anitra D. (David) Bryant and Cole E. (Ann) Eberson. Florence has four children; Janine F. Weber, Marjan M. (Tom) Polek, Charlotte E. (Kelly) Loomer and J. Eric Weber. Together they have 24 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Marjorie H. Wolf, and his only brother, Sirocco J. Eberson.
