The 2013 Arizona Diamondbacks will make their first stop prior to the upcoming baseball season at Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino Friday. Josh Collmenter, Adam Eaton, Paul Goldschmidt and Wade Miley will participate in a free autograph session from 7 to 8 p.m. in the conference center of the hotel and casino located just off the Interstate 10 and Wild Horse Pass Boulevard. This event is open to the general public.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will host the ninth annual SUBWAY D-backs FanFest on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Chase Field. The free event will offer fans unprecedented access to current players, coaches, alumni and broadcasters, including autograph and photo sessions on the field. Last year’s event drew an estimated 25,000 fans to Chase Field.

Eyes fixed at some point beyond the gray wall, he is frozen, save for the slight, involuntary shudder that comes with each touch.
Altadena Middle School's biggest fundraiser of the year is happening on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The Harvest Festival is open to all residents and the proceeds will go to the Altadena PTSO. Wristbands are $15 for the event which will feature food, games and more. If you would like to volunteer to help set up, you can come at 1:00 p.m. or anytime after that. At his own request, Joseph Woodard is off to prison to begin his 25-year to life sentence for the murder of Bradley Eaton during a botched home-invasion in 2006.
Former Ahwatukee Foothills resident Joseph Woodard has been transferred to from county jail to state prison to begin his 25-year to life sentence for the murder of Bradley Eaton. On Friday, Judge Connie Contes ordered Woodard to pay $14,424.16 for Eaton's funeral costs.
The year 2009 was a tough one. The economy went down the drain, foreclosures jumped, the city and state budgets required trimming with a chain saw and a bank robbery spree hit the area.
