An attempt to open a medical marijuana dispensary at 48th Street and Chandler Boulevard has respectfully been withdrawn for now as the owner searches for a location in Ahwatukee Foothills that will be further away from homes and schools.

Dunkin' Donuts is opening its first campus location at Arizona State University Aug. 19. The store, at 681 E. Apache Blvd. in ASU's Vistas Commons, will employ 20 to 30 people. Its hours are 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
The American Foundation for Cardiomyopathy (AmericanFFC) announces the launch of its 2011 used cell phone drive. In partnership with Phones4Charity, AmericanFFC is collecting and recycling used cell phones. Phones4Charity will give American Foundation for Cardiomyopathy a donation for each phone collected during the drive.
