Many Arizona residents aren’t from this state and, more often than not, have loyal sports affiliation with other teams — we’re talking about you, Cubs fans — so it’s not surprising that Arizona’s six professional sports teams struggle at times to generate widespread enthusiasm. The Arizona Sports Fan Expo might just change that.

Cheerleader is a domestic short-haired brown Tabby, about 2 1/2 years old. She finds ways to entertain herself while at adoption day by rolling around in her kennel … trying to get the attention of a nice person to adopt her and bring her home. Cheerleader gets along with most cats but she can be on the dominant side. It probably will take her some time to warm up and feel comfortable in her new home, but once she decides you’re OK and not so scary, she’s a real charmer.
