Kermit was originally found as a stray and brought in to the Yuma Humane Society. He is estimated to be about 6 years old. The guess on what he is … Chihuahua mix? All that is known for sure is he’s absolutely adorable. Kermit needs a child-free home as he has a bit of sensitivity when being handled. Don’t let that scare you though … the volunteers that work with Kermit at the shelter can go over/explain what exactly that means. He is a very sweet boy. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Kermit’s adoption fee is $125.
Ahwatukee Foothills resident Scott Andersen went to take his Chihuahua, Einstein, on a walk in the evening of Tuesday, July 15, and within minutes of leaving the house, Einstein was dead, in the mouth of a much larger dog. Now Andersen is asking owners of all dogs to be aware of their dog’s instincts and be prepared for the worst.

After watching and reading about the state treasurer’s debate I thought to myself that with ex-Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman’s line of “bull” he should be selling used cars. http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/2014/07/08/treasurer-candidates-get-loud-debate/12393627/.
In many areas of your life, you’re probably aware that it’s useful to keep emotions out of your decision-making — and that’s certainly the case with investing. However, it can be difficult to keep your feelings from influencing your investment decisions. But you may find it easier to invest with your head, rather than your heart, if you know a little something about two different cycles: the market cycle and your emotional cycle.

There are tremendous responsibilities and potential liabilities that come with owning a dog. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports there are approximately 4.7 million dog bites per year, resulting in 800,000 injuries that require medical attention. Half of those injuries are to people under the age of 18.
Gov. Jan Brewer has established by Executive Order the Arizona Human Trafficking Council, addressing one of the key priorities highlighted in the governor’s 2014 State of the State and policy agenda.

One of the best things about spring training is getting a chance to see prospects long before they reach the big leagues.
The following Tempe Union High School District students have advanced to the finalist level for the prestigious National Merit Scholarship.
Gabbana, like her name suggests, is a special and limited edition pup worthy of lots of love and affection. She’s very smart and already know “sit, “down,” “stay” and “come” commands. She loves to learn new things and has great focus for further training. Gabbana loves to play fetch, tug-of-war, and would do well with a semi-active family who would like to run and play with her.
Imagine hopping onto the back of da Vinci’s portrait of Mona Lisa and cruising it down the streets of France or saddling up New York’s Charging Bull and riding it into Times Square. Although piggy-backing a piece of artwork and parading it through public venues might sound like a looney fantasy, the art students of South Mountain High School have made it a reality.
A Northern Arizona lawmaker wants to put the state in charge of giving out federal dollars to ranchers who lose cattle to wolves.
Sassafras, or “Sassy”, is an affectionate and outgoing 3-year-old Pit Bull mix with exuberance for life that is contagious. Sassy greets her people with a grin on her face, a tail that wags non-stop, and an expectation that there will be an exchange of hugs and kisses between the two parties. Sassy loves to be with her people; always happy to sleep next to you on the couch or in bed, or find a way to place part of her body in your lap to entice you into giving her belly rubs.

Every so often some researcher whips out his calculator and estimates how much it takes to raise a child today. I suspect that this exercise is some sort of subtle pressure from the government to cut down on overpopulation, because the Department of Agriculture says it costs a libido-crushing $241,080 to raise each of our Special Snowflakes to age 18.
