Wanda is a 4-year-old beautiful Lemon Beagle that was a shelter dog rescued by Arizona Beagle Rescue. She was a bit chubby but has lost a few pounds and is now pretty close to her target weight. Wanda is housebroken, gets along with other dogs, rides great in a car, walks great on a leash and can use the doggie door. She loves to follow her foster mom around the house and snooze wherever she happens to be. If she likes you, she will give you her paw and loves to give kisses. Wanda is timid around men so it will take her some time to warm up and be comfortable. She would be a faithful companion for any family.
Kimber is an active 3-year-old female Beagle mix who is housebroken and can use a doggie door. She gets along great with her foster brothers and loves to play and wrestle. She is crate trained and loves to cuddle and give kisses. Kimber would be good with older kids, probably best for kids 10 and older since she is little food aggressive. She does not bark much except at meal times to tell you she is hungry. She walks well on a leash and likes to explore.
The way Fido wags his tail might reveal more about him than you know. Just ask another dog.
Caramel is a sweet 11-year-old Beagle girl whose owner moved away and left her behind. She is so easygoing and very obedient. She likes to just hang out, take naps and sniff around the yard. Caramel gets along well with other dogs and children. Since she is a bit overweight she would benefit from more exercise and less food. Dieting is hard and Caramel is hungry so if there is more than one dog in the home it would be best to feed her separately.
Paisley is a sweet 2-year-old female Beagle. She loves to be around people, but other dogs just terrify her. She was attacked by another dog so it will take patience, love and some professional training for her to feel comfortable around other dogs. Until then, Paisley will do great being an only dog in the household. She is housebroken and rarely barks. She does need to be kept on a leash because, like most Beagles, she will take off to follow a scent. Her coat is very soft and she lets everyone hold and pet her.
Rowan, 1, is not your typical tri-color Beagle, but more of a chocolaty kind. She has a slight heart murmur but that does not stop her from playing or snuggling or just looking cute and living a long life with regular vet visits. She likes other dogs and people.
Zoey May is a sweet 10-year-old Beagle girl whose owners lost their home so now she is homeless. She loves to be petted and hanging out with her foster parents. She loves to go on daily walks, is housebroken, doggie-door trained, and crate trained. Zoey May would be best with kids over 12. She gets along great with other dogs, too.
Buddy D’Elf is an 11-year-old Beagle, who acts and plays like he’s 7. He came down from a land northeast of Phoenix to look for his new forever home. He can go from being a very active Beagle to being a couch potato who likes to snuggle. He loves to go for walks, but has to take his time so he can check out the great smells out in the world. He likes to ride like a person in the backseat of the car and occasionally likes to get up and take a look out the window. He gets along great with other dogs, too.
Peete is a 9-year-old, active Beagle boy. Unlike most Beagles, he enjoys floating on a raft in the pool, as you can see by his picture. He’d love to hang out with you in your pool too, if you have one. But if you don’t, that’s OK too; he would be just as happy cuddling with you on your lap, or taking walks with you. Peete is a very peppy boy, but also loves naps, of course. His foster mom says that Peete is great with other dogs and is very obedient. His only weakness: young children (under 10) make him nervous, but he loves older kids.
Gunther is a male Beagle/Basset blend ... can you tell which part is which? His body is that of a Basset Hound and his head/coloring is that of a Beagle. His nose is all hound! He’s said to be about 3 years old.
Beau might be the sweetest Beagle you’ll ever meet. He has big brown eyes, soft, long ears and a fluffy coat. He is 10 years young and is living in a foster home with three little kids who he loves. He is gentle and obedient. Other dogs are great company and he can even handle a cat. He plays well with others. Beau’s foster mom says he can be kenneled if needed, but she trusts him around her house. That is probably because he’s such a sweet and mellow guy. He mostly naps during the day. If he sees a bird or hears a dog bark, he likes to let out a good howl to let them know he’s around. Although he loves his foster family, Beau cannot wait to find his forever family.
Wally is a small 1.5-year-old male Beagle. His colors are black and tan, kind of like a coonhound. He was hit by a car in January and was saved by some nice ladies who stopped to help him. His foster family has taken great care of him and helped him through four surgeries on his leg. Wally would love to be loved, but he’s a little skittish of strangers. He wants his own home where he can feel safe and get stronger every day.
Pogo is a male “Beagle blend,” about 6 years old. He’s a sweet and loving little guy. Friends for Life rescued Pogo from the Yuma Humane Society where he was turned in several times as a stray. The last time he was turned in, however, his family never came to claim him. His outlook for finding a home was not good. Pogo was adopted from Friends for Life a few months ago, however, the family determined they didn’t have enough time for a dog. He’s hoping this time around for a family that will be dedicated to keeping him safe, sound, and loved. Pogo enjoys a good cuddle, going for walks when it’s cool, and just look at that face!
Perkins is an 8-year-old Beagle who was lost and taken in by the Arizona Beagle Rescue last summer. He is much taller than a typical Beagle and will play ball with you, but prefers tug-of-war. He likes walks as well, but pulls quite a bit because he gets so excited to go out, but he settles down after walking a bit. Car rides are one of Perkins’ favorite things.
Scooter is a very lively 10-year-old Beagle. Scooter is good with other dogs, but will give a warning growl if another four-legged friend gets too close to his sleeping space. He’s recently been able to show off some of my awesome agility skills, so if that’s something you’d like to work more with him on, you’d be a perfect match. He really enjoys running through tunnels, climbing up ladders, and running down slides, even more so if rewarded with a treat or just a good belly rub. Scooter is extremely affectionate and loves to be loved.
Kramer needs to find his forever home soon because his foster parents are leaving Arizona. Kramer is a 4-year-old male Beagle who is easy-going, calm, affectionate, doesn’t bark much, house-trained, and gets along well with other dogs.
Kallie is 11 years young! She would love to live in a house where she can sit on her human’s lap or next to them while watching TV. During the day, all Kallie needs is a pillow to rest her head on and wait for you to return home from work. She is a very quiet Beagle girl and will melt your heart. She gets along well with other dogs and children.
Dakota is a pretty Beagle girl who is looking for someone to love her, feed her, and let her sit on their lap forever. This 8-year-old girl and her brother, Bandit, used to have a mom who loved them, but she got sick and is now at the Rainbow Bridge taking care of all the angel dogs. Bandit was just adopted so now Dakota is looking for her forever home, too. She’s a very quiet girl who is well behaved and uses a doggie door. She gets along well with other dogs, too. Smiley is a 7-year-old female Beagle that Arizona Beagle Rescue (AZBR) rescued from the Humane Society along with sister, Stripey. Sadly, their family lost their home and could no longer care for the two dogs. Smiley’s foster mom says she is very sweet, lovable, and does what she’s told. She is housebroken and doesn’t mind a crate. Recently, Stripey found her forever home so now Smiley is seeking hers. She’s a little overweight, but is on a strict green bean diet with daily walks. She likes to cuddle and gets along with other dogs and children. Smiley does like to bark, but quiets down when told to.
Elsa is a 5-year-old female Beagle who was recently rescued from the kill list. She was so scared that she just shook in fear and would not come out of her cage. Now, Elsa is a happy, bubbly girl. She gets along well with other dogs and is housebroken. Elsa loves to eat and will spin in circles until you put her bowl down. She has also lived overseas. She had a microchip but it was never registered by a vet at the USAF in Okinawa, Japan. Elsa is looking for her furever home so she never has to move again.
Maverick is a happy 5-year-old Beagle, who loves life to the fullest every day. He would love to cuddle up with you for a nap on the couch or sleep in your bed with you at night, but he also is really good about sleeping in his own bed. Maverick loves to play with toys and will even play fetch. He likes to go for walks and for rides in the car. He would prefer a quieter home with either no children or older kids. Maverick is so well-behaved that his foster mom gives him free-roam of the house when she goes to work. He knows how to use a doggie door and never has accidents in the house.
Tugboat is a 5-year-old, medium-sized male Beagle who was rescued from the shelter. He is a very friendly guy who really wants a family to hang out with ... maybe with some older kids who can keep up with him and take him for long walks. Tugboat gets excited when it’s time to go on a walk, but also loves just hanging out and being around people. He is housebroken and would love to snuggle with you on the couch.
