Scooter is a very lively 10-year-old Beagle. Scooter is good with other dogs, but will give a warning growl if another four-legged friend gets too close to his sleeping space. He’s recently been able to show off some of my awesome agility skills, so if that’s something you’d like to work more with him on, you’d be a perfect match. He really enjoys running through tunnels, climbing up ladders, and running down slides, even more so if rewarded with a treat or just a good belly rub. Scooter is extremely affectionate and loves to be loved.
Kramer needs to find his forever home soon because his foster parents are leaving Arizona. Kramer is a 4-year-old male Beagle who is easy-going, calm, affectionate, doesn’t bark much, house-trained, and gets along well with other dogs.
Kallie is 11 years young! She would love to live in a house where she can sit on her human’s lap or next to them while watching TV. During the day, all Kallie needs is a pillow to rest her head on and wait for you to return home from work. She is a very quiet Beagle girl and will melt your heart. She gets along well with other dogs and children.
Dakota is a pretty Beagle girl who is looking for someone to love her, feed her, and let her sit on their lap forever. This 8-year-old girl and her brother, Bandit, used to have a mom who loved them, but she got sick and is now at the Rainbow Bridge taking care of all the angel dogs. Bandit was just adopted so now Dakota is looking for her forever home, too. She’s a very quiet girl who is well behaved and uses a doggie door. She gets along well with other dogs, too. Smiley is a 7-year-old female Beagle that Arizona Beagle Rescue (AZBR) rescued from the Humane Society along with sister, Stripey. Sadly, their family lost their home and could no longer care for the two dogs. Smiley’s foster mom says she is very sweet, lovable, and does what she’s told. She is housebroken and doesn’t mind a crate. Recently, Stripey found her forever home so now Smiley is seeking hers. She’s a little overweight, but is on a strict green bean diet with daily walks. She likes to cuddle and gets along with other dogs and children. Smiley does like to bark, but quiets down when told to.
Elsa is a 5-year-old female Beagle who was recently rescued from the kill list. She was so scared that she just shook in fear and would not come out of her cage. Now, Elsa is a happy, bubbly girl. She gets along well with other dogs and is housebroken. Elsa loves to eat and will spin in circles until you put her bowl down. She has also lived overseas. She had a microchip but it was never registered by a vet at the USAF in Okinawa, Japan. Elsa is looking for her furever home so she never has to move again.
Maverick is a happy 5-year-old Beagle, who loves life to the fullest every day. He would love to cuddle up with you for a nap on the couch or sleep in your bed with you at night, but he also is really good about sleeping in his own bed. Maverick loves to play with toys and will even play fetch. He likes to go for walks and for rides in the car. He would prefer a quieter home with either no children or older kids. Maverick is so well-behaved that his foster mom gives him free-roam of the house when she goes to work. He knows how to use a doggie door and never has accidents in the house.
Tugboat is a 5-year-old, medium-sized male Beagle who was rescued from the shelter. He is a very friendly guy who really wants a family to hang out with ... maybe with some older kids who can keep up with him and take him for long walks. Tugboat gets excited when it’s time to go on a walk, but also loves just hanging out and being around people. He is housebroken and would love to snuggle with you on the couch.
Meet Jake Putman, an 8-year-old happy Beagle looking for a new family. He’s very friendly and pretty calm around the house. He likes to keep you company and watch the house when you are away. When you get home you will get a big fun-filled greeting from Jake. He is very loyal to the family, and just wants to make you happy. Not ready to adopt? Arizona Beagle Rescue is in desperate need of foster homes and volunteers. For more information, visit www.azbeaglerescue.com.
Chuckles is a very handsome 3-year-old Beagle ready to entertain one and all. When he was rescued he was so scared and very, very thin. He’s eating a healthy diet now and just starting to put on weight. Chuckles is very shy at first when he meets new people and other dogs, but all he needs is some love and a new forever home to make him happy.
Daisy, a 3-1/2-year-old Beagle came to Arizona Beagle Rescue (AZBR) when she was very pregnant, and her original family could not afford medical care for her or her pups. She bravely gave birth to seven beautiful pups and took wonderful care of them until they all got adopted to their forever families. She’s now ready to find a home of her own. It has taken some time for Daisy to adjust to living with her foster family, as she must have been sad to leave her other family at such a fragile time. Her foster mom suspects that some of her insecurities and trust issues developed during her life before AZBR, although she has improved greatly over the time they have spent together.
Scooter is a very lively 9-year-old Beagle. He is good with other dogs but will give a warning growl if another four-legged friend gets too close to his sleeping space. He recently showed off some of his agility skills, so if that’s something you’d like to work more with him on, you’d be a perfect match. Scooter really enjoys running through tunnels, climbing up ladders, and running down slides, etc., even more so if he’s rewarded with a treat or a good belly rub. He just doesn’t play as well with other dogs. Scooter is extremely affectionate and loves to be loved.
Tucker Brown is a neutered 4-year-old Beagle mix who weighs about 50 pounds. He has the sweetest personality and gets along great with other dogs. He loves people, but has not been around kids or cats yet, so he would need an introduction. Tucker Brown loves to snuggle on the couch and is relatively low maintenance. He follows basic commands and his favorite toy is a Nylabone. He is house/doggie-door trained and sleeps through the night with no issues. Essentially, he is a mellow guy who is happy all the time and would love to have a family to call his own.
Spook, who will be celebrating his 10th birthday later this month, was appropriately named when he was found wandering the streets of Mesa just before Halloween last year. Don’t let his name fool you though, he’s not spooky at all, and has been patiently waiting to meet his forever family. He would love to join you in your Halloween activities (he’s even all ready to go as Underdog).
Chester is a neutered, male Beagle, almost 7 years old. He’s a happy-go-lucky boy who gets along with everyone — humans and dogs alike. But, he’d prefer playing with humans rather than dogs. He likes to go on walks and loves to run. When it comes time for bed, Chester’s favorite spot is on the bed next to his human. He is dog door trained and crate trained. He likes to bark at other dogs or people that pass by, so he’s not suited for apartment living.
Tillie just celebrated her sixth birthday and is feeling great after having a growth on her belly removed that was making her uncomfortable. Now she’s free to run and play. This Beagle is very playful. She also likes to snuggle and cuddle with her humans. If you have other dogs, there will need to be a meet and greet, because Tillie can be a little dominant. She’s not aggressive with the dogs, and when they let her know they don’t want attention, she backs down right away. Tillie is crate trained and loves playing with kids, young or old.
Nash the Beagle is 8 years young and everyone he meets tells him what a great dog he is. He is well behaved and knows a few commands.
