A well-known dog bakery and boutique in Ahwatukee will be closing its doors for good on Dec. 31 after the holidays have passed.
A time capsule buried at the former McDonald’s in Ahwatukee at Elliot Road and 51st Street 30 years ago was pulled from the ground on Friday, but time has taken a toll on the old capsule and most of the items inside were completely destroyed.

Save the Family is hosting its sixth-annual “Taste of SanTan” event, slated for Friday, Oct. 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at SanTan Village Shopping Center. More than 350 guests are expected to “enjoy a fun night of culinary delights, entertainment, fantastic door prizes, and much more,” according to Save the Family.
