The Ahwatukee Swim and Tennis Center has many options to help beat the heat this summer by jumping into the pool.

Jozef Bagby, 14, of Ahwatukee recently received his Eagle Scout Award in a court of honor ceremony on March 16 at Esperanza Lutheran Church. Bagby began his scouting career as a Cub Scout Webelos in 2007. He earned his Arrow of Light before bridging into Boy Scout Troop 124, and eventually transferred to Troop 14 after moving to Ahwatukee.

The nationally renowned Sun Devil Aquatics Swim Team finished in second place overall, accruing more than 1,000 points, at the Age Group Regional Swim Meet Feb. 22-24 at McClintock High School.

Ahwatukee Foothills has been raising competitive swimmers for more than 10 years.

Swimming can now be a year-round sport for kids and collegiate level swimmers in Ahwatukee Foothills.

Trey Roggenstein and Maddie Nichols of Desert Vista represent the future of swimming in Ahwatukee Foothills while Mountain Pointe’s Ben Fitch and Clara Jenck, once in the same position of their Thunder counterparts, finished their terrific careers.

The falls season just about wraps up this weekend.

By all accounts, Clara Jenck and Ben Fitch performed beautifully.
