    The second Sally Meyerhoff 5K run will be on Dec. 8 at Kiwanis Park in Tempe. A Mountain Pointe graduate and former Pride coach, Meyerhoff was an aspiring Olympic runner and this run was started to keep her legacy alive after she was killed in a training accident in Maricopa in March 2011.

Each of the participating clubs (ASU Karsten Golf Course, Eagle Mountain Golf Club, Longbow Golf Club and Raven Golf Club Phoenix) set aside one tee time Monday through Friday, June 11 to Aug. 31, in the 10 o’clock hour available to the public for $100. The entire $100 was then donated to The First Tee of Phoenix.
