Flag football repeats as champion

The i9 Sports Flag Football Champions in the Junior Division for the fall season are the Cardinals once again.

This is the second season in a row that these young athletes have played together and won the league championship.

After winning the East League covering Ahwatukee Foothills, Chandler and Tempe, the Cardinals played the West League Raiders, which is based out of Avondale and Goodyear.

It was a close game until the third quarter when the Cardinals opened the game with a high tempo offense to come out 32-12.

There were some outstanding performances to lead the league in the following categories by these Cardinals: Kent Rezaei had 23 catches with seven touchdowns; Charlie Allison led with total points and interceptions; Landen Powell had 13 touchdown passes; Mason Grady had three point after touchdowns and lineman Braden Burness 24 successful pulls.
