Desert Vista graduate Matt Wehrli signed with the University of North Dakota for the 2012-13 school year.
Wehrli played his freshman year at Yavapai College in Prescott and hit .230 in 61 at-bats with six runs and six RBIs and will play for Chandler-Gilbert Community College this spring.
At Desert Vista, Wehrli, an outfielder, batted .426 as a senior with six home runs and 34 RBIs while being named to the Class 5A Division I first team by the Arizona Baseball Coaches Association.
