The newly formed Kids Golf League will be offering free golf coaching clinics for junior golfers at Western Skies Golf Club in Gilbert on Jan. 3.

Directed by Craig Hocknull, who is the 2013 Southwest Section PGA Player of the Year, the coaching clinics will be focused on introducing juniors to golf and improving their skill and love for the game.

The first 40 junior golfers to register will receive a free PING 7 iron club. The coaching clinics include course certification testing, Big Break style skill challenges and overall instruction on golf techniques.

Juniors as young as 3 years old are encouraged to participate. The free event is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Western Skies Golf Club located at 1245 East Warner Road in Gilbert.

For more information or to register, visit www.kidsgolfleague.com or call (602) 561-GOLF (4653).
