The start of the Multi-Sport season in Arizona opens in three weeks, marked by the 15th Annual TriSports.com Desert Classic Duathlon. This prestigious event will be at the McDowell Mountain Regional Park on March 10.

This is traditionally the first multi-sport event in Arizona, and is typically one of the first ones nationally due to our beautiful spring temperatures. Many professional athletes and Olympic gold medalists have used the Desert Classic Duathlon in their preparations for the Ironman and Olympics. These have included IronMan 70.3 world champions Samantha McGlone and Joanna Zeiger, Olympic gold medalists Simon Whitfield (triathlon) and Kristin Armstrong (cycling) and Xterra World Champion and 2009 Hall of Fame inductee Michael Tobin.

Anyone interested in experiencing multi-sport for the first time, or professional athletes who want to win their share of the $5,000 purse, can register today at www.DCBAZ.com.
