Mountain Pointe will honor six new inductees into the school’s hall of fame on Friday before and during the Pride’s game against Mesa.
The event starts with a barbecue at 5 p.m. and will be followed by a ceremony in the lobby of the gym at 6 p.m.
This year’s class members are: John Lassen, boys golf coach/teacher; Connie Kamm, English teacher, department chair; DC Pierson, student/thespian; Capt. Ross Pixler, student (West Point grad who won a Silver Star); Amy Wagner, a six-time high school All-American swimmer; and Joe Mather, baseball All-American, professional athlete.
