The Mountain Pointe baseball team his hosting “A evening with Clint Hurdle and Jay Bell.”

Hurdle is the manager of the recharged Pittsburgh Pirates and Bell, a former Diamondback, is the new bench coach for the Reds after leaving his post as the Pirates’ hitting coach.

The event, for 21 years and older, will be Jan. 18 at Ahwatukee Country Club, 12432 S. 48th St., from 6 to 10 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.).

The cost is $60 per individual and $110 per couple with tickets available for purchase at www.mphsbaseballboosters.com and includes dinner and non-alcoholic beverages provided by Spinato’s. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

All proceeds, including auction items, go to the Mountain Pointe baseball program.
