Suns alumnus Mark West will host his 22nd annual South Mountain Education and Basketball Camp at The Salvation Army Phoenix Kroc Center, 1375 E. Broadway Roak, beginning Monday, July 23.

It will be Monday through Friday from 8:45 a.m. until 2:15 p.m. daily.

During the camp, the former Suns center and current vice president of player programs will offer basketball advice and life lessons to more than 75 underserved youth in Arizona. In addition, featured speakers from the Phoenix community will be on hand to discuss the importance of a good education, responsibility and handling peer pressure.

The camp is free of charge and open to children ages 10 to 12. Each youth in attendance will receive a backpack with school supplies, a camp T-shirt and a photo with West.

Anyone interested in registering should call (602) 425-5000 for more information.
