The success Mountain Pointe basketball teams had on the court is starting to pay dividends off it.

Both the boys and girls teams won the East Valley Region for the second year in a row.

Mountain Pointe coach Brian Fleming was coach of the year.

Senior Jerome Garrison and senior Tylor Wimbish made first team all-region, senior Steven Knox and sophomore Khari Holloway were second team while senior Izzy Marshall and junior Marcus Ramirez nabbed honorable mention honors. Freshman Jalen Brown was selected to first-team all-defense. Leighton Blackinburg was named all-academic.

For the girls, senior Aleks Cataruzolo and freshman Kaylah Lupoe was a first-team picks, while sophomore Caitlyn Hetrick was chosen for the second team.

Freshman Maddy Sulka, sophomore Ashley Clubb and junior Hannah Sharpe were honorable mention selections.
