Desert Vista graduate and Oregon State junior Patricia Bright was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week for Dec. 5-12. She led the Beavers to a 63-52 win over Pepperdine.

The 6-4 forward/center nearly tallied a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and a school record nine blocked shots. Bright's first six points came at the free throw line, dunking a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe, shooting only 55.6 percent from the line coming into the game. Her 10 rebounds marked the first time this season she has reached double figures on the boards, while her 16 points marks the second-most she's scored in a game. Her 31 minutes also was a career high.
