Mountain Pointe graduate and Central Arizona right-handed pitcher Jordan Kipper verbally committed recently to Texas Christian for the 2013-2014 school year.

After helping the Pride to the state title — he had the game-winning hit in the state title game — Kipper had an impressive freshman campaign at Central as he went 9-3 in 15 game, including 14 starts, with a 2.78 ERA. He had 76 strikeouts and 20 walks in 90 2/3 innings with the highlight of the season being a no-hitter against Odessa College on March 15.

Kipper joins former Mountain Pointe teammate Kevin Cron in Fort Worth a year from now.
