Arizona State freshman pole vaulter Shaylah Simpson, a Desert Vista graduate, was one of 10 Sun Devils named to the 2011 Division I All-Academic Track & Field teams by the U.S. Track & Field, Cross Country Coaches Association.
Simpson is majoring in psychology with a minor in family studies.
