Mountain Pointe graduate Joey Rocha, who earned all-academic honors at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, has been cleared to play in the Great Lake Summer Collegiate League.

Rocha, who sat out last season for a medical rehab, will play for the South Ohio Copperheads. In 2011, Rocha, a left-handed pitcher and outfielder, played at Cypress Junior College in California. He appeared in 15 games including three starts before transferring to Chandler-Gilbert.
