The Mountain Pointe boys volleyball team, the Desert Vista baseball team, and the Thunder softball program had their seasons come to an end Saturday.

The Pride lost in the first round of state to end the 20-year career for Fred Mann as the program’s leader. He is heading to Perry to take over the girls program.

The Thunder baseball team lost 3-2 to Chaparral on Saturday and the Desert Vista softball team were knocked out by Horizon, 4-3.

The only teams remaining heading into Tuesday’s action were the Mountain Pointe baseball team, which faced Corona del Sol in the consolation bracket at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, and the top-seeded Desert Vista boys volleyball team, which hosted Salpointe Catholic at the Storm Center.

Both teams had to win to keep their seasons alive.

Check out for updates on their games Tuesday evening.
