Arizona Christian University will hosts the 2013 Baseball Recruit Identification Camp June 3-6 at Firestorm Field. Players ages 14-18 are invited to attend the camp, which focuses on baseball skills development.

The daily schedule begins with check-in at 8:30 a.m. and a parents’ meeting at 9 a.m. Conditioning, drills, and rotations begin after the meeting and continue until the 11:30 a.m. lunch break. Games begin at 12:10 p.m. and continue through the afternoon until pick-up at 4:15 p.m.

Camp instructors include the 2013 baseball coaching staff: head coach Don Mitchell, third-base coach Jack Lind, a former Major League player, coach and player development director, pitching coach Tim Haubursin, and first-base coach Billy Hallstrom.

Former Major League player Jim Johnson, who played seven seasons for the Houston Astros and managed and instructed for 18 years with four major league organizations, is the camp’s featured hitting coach. Johnson also coached the Chinese junior and senior teams and has fielded clinics in Japan, the Czech Republic, Italy and China.
