Ahwatukee Foothills reside Kerry Alter set the national record for top speed in the 1350cc production class for motorcycles at the BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials at Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.
The 48-year-old's top speed was 195.5 mph to break modified class's previous record of 191 mph.
