Desert Vista graduate Cody McManus, a sophomore at Pepperdine, and Thunder senior Matt Liringis qualified for Monday’s qualifier for the Northern Trust Open, the PGA event being played this week at Riviera Country Club in Palisades, Calif.

Liringis shot 2-under 70 at Industry Hills Golf Club, while McManus was 1-under 70 to finish just a few shots off the scores that sent four golfers into the PGA event.

Jason Gore fired a 7-under 65 to win it, Jason Allred finished a shot back and two others qualified at 4-under.
