A softball camp for girls in grades fifth through eighth will be offered Saturday, Nov. 6, at Mountain Pointe High School.

This is an opportunity for girls of all skill levels to prepare for middle-school tryouts. They will receive hitting, fielding and pitching instruction from high-school players and coaches of the Pride softball program.

The camp will be from noon to 4 p.m. at the Mountain Pointe softball fields, 4201 E. Knox Road.

For information or to register, go to www.ladypridesoftball.com or e-mail Mountain Pointe coach Mel Wendell at mwendell@tuhsd.k12.az.us. The cost, which includes a T-shirt, is $30 in advance or $35 the day of camp.

After the camp, join team members and other campers for a fundraising pizza dinner at Slice of Bella at the southeastern corner of 48th Street and Warner Road. Proceeds will benefit the team's booster club.
