Bright sets Oregon St. record

Desert Vista graduate and Oregon State junior Patricia Bright set the OSU record for blocked shots in a season last week. Her five blocked shots against Oregon boosted her season total to 95, resetting the record set last season by El Sara Greer, who had 92 last season.

Through 27 games, Bright is averaging 9.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks in her first season with the Beavers after transferring from Pensacola State College.

Angels charity game slated

The Tempe Diablo will have its annual charity baseball game on Tuesday, March 6 with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim playing host to the Chicago White Sox at 1:05 p.m.
