Desert Vista senior Nick Farina verbally committed to South Dakota State to continue his football career, while former Thunder basketball player Connor MacDougal, a junior, committed to play basketball at Arizona State. He left the Desert Vista program this offseason to play for Westwind Prep, a prep academy in Phoenix that plays a national schedule and does not fall under the AIA umbrella.
