The 15-Black Spiral Volleyball team comprised of only freshmen, many of whom attend Desert Vista, participated in the three-day Colorado Crossroads National Qualifying Tournament in Denver March 8-10, and finished second in a 124-team field.
It was three grueling days of top-notch competition from around the United States. The Spiral played a total of 11 matches and made its way into the championship match versus a team from Nebraska. The team received silver medals as well as a framed plaque for its efforts.
