Desert Vista senior offensive lineman J.J. Dielman gave his verbal commitment last Tuesday to Utah.
The Pac-12 school was the first to offer in the spring and the 6-foot-5, 260-pound offensive tackle took that to heart.
Dielman was the lone senior and unquestioned leader of the unit that rushed for 3,044 yards, the second most in school history, on the way to the Division I state title.
He had offers from Fresno State, Northern Arizona, San Diego State, San Jose State and UNLV.
Desert Vista coach Dan Hinds said senior linebacker Mike Arredondo received an offer from Northern Arizona, his first.
Scout.com reported that Mountain Pointe's Dee Harvey received an offer from Western New Mexico.
