Desert Vista graduate and Colorado State senior Brianna Espinoza has found her stroke.
She won the medalist at the 24-team Wyoming Cowgirl Classic at Ocotillo Golf Club in Chandler.
Espinoza, who led the competition from start to finish, followed up two consecutive 68s with an even-par 72 in the final round to capture the individual title. Espinoza’s three-round total of 208 (-8) was her lowest total of the season and an all-time Wyoming Cowgirl Classic record. Her 208 total eclipsed the previous course record, set last year by Britney Yada (213) of Portland State, by five strokes.
